Connecticuthistory.org – A new website created by the Connecticut Humanities Council provides extensive information about Connecticut’s past. This site includes a searchable encyclopedia of Connecticut history, archives of original Colonial documents, an extensive bibliography, a directory of two hundred historic sites in the state, and a heritage events calendar.
- Connecticut History Day! - CHD annually engages thousands of middle- and high-school students in historical research, interpretation, and creative expression through project based learning. The program seeks to bring students, teachers, museums, and scholars together to support young people as they engage in history.

Public Records of the Colony of Connecticut, 1636-1776 – The Colonial Connecticut Records is a wealth of information dealing with history, political science, law, agriculture, sociology, Indian policy, military history, foreign relations, etc.

Connecticut Explored, is a nonprofit public history magazine on Connecticut history. In addition to the quarterly magazine, the website has articles from more than 50 back issues on myriad Connecticut history topics and a section for teachers. Teachers may subscribe at a discount. Their free podcast, Grating the Nutmeg, produced in collaboration with the state historian, offers Connecticut history stories in audio at gratingthenutmeg.libsyn.com (also available on iTunes).
